


The wrestle with textures and lighting began. And continued. And continued.
I like the contrast I've got in the second image here, but my instructor said I needed to lighten the shadows. My instructor being my instructor, and presumably more in-the-know about these sorts of things than I am, I grudgingly did so.
The bottom image was my sort-of-final render. The point of the assignment, we found out a couple weeks before it was due, was to utilize render passes and compositing. Since I wasn't in love with the bottom image anyway, my final composited render doesn't resemble it too much. But you'll see for yourself soon enough. :)
