enzymatic wound debridement

Everything you ever wanted to know about debriding wounds with enzymes!

Assignment:

Subject: A series of illustrations, 3 steps minimum, depicting a diagnostic or therapeutic medical process or non-surgical procedure. It should have some organic forms (anatomy or hands etc.), and some geometric forms (apparatus or equipment).

Media: This will be a line diagram rendered in Illustrator. You may use flat fills, gradient fills, and/or blends if you wish, but this is optional. A line diagram is all that is required. Do not use any eyelash or crosshatch rendering; use fills or blends for any rendering. Include any appropriate labels or text.

Audience: Medical professional or allied health professional.

Publication: For reproduction as line in a medical journal. For page size, use the dimensions of any appropriate medical journal (choose any journal you wish).

Here's what I actually handed in:

I figured that medical journals tend to have pretty conservative layouts, so I went with a conservative (read: "boring") layout. I didn't see this as a problem, but it was noted as the major flaw in the piece during critique. ...Hence the redo.

I still don't quite consider this a finished piece, so thoughts, comments, concerns, and criticisms are welcome. :)
